VolunteerConstruction Groups
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (HFH GLA) partners with a diverse range of corporate, community, faith and educational groups to build common ground by sharing our vision of a world without poverty housing. Such groups make major contributions to the construction of
decent, affordable housing in our communities. On-site construction work is the most popular of HFH GLA's volunteer opportunities for groups and we make every effort to incorporate all willing volunteers. We build on
Tuesdays - Saturdays, with Saturday construction workdays often booked months in advance.
Company GroupsWorking on a Habitat for Humanity construction site can be a great team building experience! Research shows that it takes six times longer to function as an effective, productive team when you have not had time to meet in person and share a common experience.Company Team BuildA Habitat Company Build Day is an excellent way to engage your employees/members in a meaningful group experience. Company Build Days can be used as a reward for hard-working employees; an annual community service project; a team building experience for new employees; or simply a fun way to get to know a different side of your co-workers.For a donation, up to 20 participants can spend a Saturday building or renovating a house as a team. Weekday (Tuesday - Friday) build days are also available for a donation amount of your choice.
